How AI Credits Work
Understand the AI credit system in SaasDash.ai — monthly allocations, purchased packs, FIFO consumption, and expiration rules.
SaasDash.ai uses a credit-based system for AI Advisor interactions. Each question you ask the AI costs one credit. Here is how the system works.
Credit Allocations by Plan

Monthly credits are allocated at the start of each billing cycle and expire at the end of the cycle. Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
Purchased Credit Packs
If you need more credits than your plan provides, you can buy credit packs. Purchased credits:
- Never expire — they stay in your balance until used
- Are shared across your team
- Are consumed after monthly credits (FIFO: monthly credits are used first)
To purchase credits, go to Settings > Billing and look for the credit pack options.
FIFO consumption order
Credits are consumed in this order: (1) Monthly credits from the earliest billing cycle first, then (2) Purchased credits from the oldest pack first. This ensures your monthly credits get used before they expire.
Checking Your Balance
Your current credit balance is always visible in the AI Advisor interface. It shows:
- Monthly remaining — credits from your current billing cycle
- Purchased remaining — credits from purchased packs
- Total available — the sum of both
What Costs a Credit
Each message you send to the AI Advisor costs one credit. The AI's response does not cost additional credits.
One credit gives you:
- A personalized answer based on your company's real metrics
- Specific, actionable recommendations
- References to your Growth Ceiling, churn rate, and other data
Team-shared credits
Credits are shared across all team members. If you have 3 team members on a Growth plan with 50 monthly credits, those 50 credits are consumed by whoever uses them first. Monitor usage in Settings > Billing.
What Happens When Credits Run Out
When you have zero credits remaining:
- The AI Advisor shows a "no credits" message
- You can purchase a credit pack to resume immediately
- Monthly credits refill at your next billing cycle
- You can still access all other SaasDash features normally
